In O'Flaherty lab, we are passionate about contributing to the sustainable development.

Our research has significant impacts on the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 6 (Clean water and Sanitation), SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 13 (Climate actions).

We also try to reduce the impacts of our research on our planet.

O'Flaherty joined My Green Lab program since 2021, which aims to improve the sustainability of the scientific research activity. This work was initiate by two of our PhD researchers Dr. Fabiana Coelho and Caroline O'Donnell, and we assembled our Green team in the lab to continuously improve our practices in the lab.
